There’s really only one lesson to take away here… You can’t win the big game by playing for real for only half the game. That may get you through the playoffs, but when it really matters, you’re screwed.
Winning the season takes having your head and your heart in the game every play – it’s about executing on the little plays that inch you forward and get you to first down, one after the other, and doing that well.
Waiting for the second half to start playing, well, means you won’t win.
